Stocks on Bursa Malaysia fell 0.37% to close at 1435.67 points on profit taking following recent gains. The Finance Index added 7.84 to 12957.67 points, the Properties Index surged 5.20 to 860.96 points and the Plantation Index climbed 18.61 to 6661.11 points. The market traded within a range of 8.38 points between an intra-day high of 1440.05 and a low of 1431.67 during the session. Actively traded stocks include KNM, MRCB, JCY, UEMLAND, TIMECOM, TEBRAU, PLUS, E&O, UNISEM-WA and MTRONIC. Trading volume declined to 922.06 mil shares worth RM1718.44 mil as compared to Thursday's 1075.05 mil shares worth RM1872.98 mil. Top Gainers were MUDAJAYA (+53 sen to RM4.48), GAB (+20 sen to RM8.30), HAIO (+17 sen to RM3.20), LMCEMENT (+15 sen to RM7.39) and TSRCAP-WA (+15 sen to RM0.50). Top Losers were GENTING (-26 sen to RM9.22), KNUSFOR (-15 sen to RM1.59), APM (-14 sen to RM4.41), SIME (-14 sen to RM8.28) and KLCCP (-13 sen to RM3.30). Market breadth was positive with 394 gainers as compared to 325 losers.
