Lay Hong Berhad is engaged in investment holding and integrated livestock farming. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, operates in two segments: integrated livestock farming and retail supermarket. Its subsidiaries include Hing Hong Sdn Berhad, Innofarm (Klang) Sdn Bhd, Evergreen Organic Fertilisers Sdn Berhad, Sri Tawau Farming Sdn Bhd, Evergrowth Marketing Sdn Bhd, Innobrid Sdn Bhd, Innobrid Marketing Sdn Bhd, Eminent Farm Sdn Bhd, Lay Hong Liquid Egg Sdn Bhd, Lay Hong Food Corporation Sdn Bhd and STF Agriculture Sdn Bhd. The activities of its subsidiaries include poultry farming, production of organic fertilizer, poultry processing and marketing, retail supermarket, production of liquid egg, food manufacturing, integrated livestock farming, and investment holding. On June 19, 2008, the Company acquired an additional interest in Innobrid Sdn Bhd, there by increasing its interest from 75% to 97%. On December 3, 2008, it acquired a chain of nine supermarket outlets in Sabah.
